Hi everyone. I'm planning to sell the stock rims & tires that came off my 2017 TRD Off Road. They have lest than 100 miles on them. What's a fair price?

Edit - tires & rims have been sold.

Good luck with that. I've been trying to sell mine for 4 months. After dealing with the usual craigslist, facebook and ebay scam artists the best serious offer I've had is $400 just for the tires. If I pay the shipping. I'll keep them before I sell them that cheap.

Yeah I can see someone paying like $500 for the wheels but its hard justify $900 for those tires.

It's got to be a good price. Most are looking to go to something like a KO2 if they are going to the trouble of changing them. As far as the wheels go, I like them fine, but if over $400 for the wheels, it's easy to just think about buying whatever wheels you wanted in the first place.

Tires and wheels for $900? Not a bad price, but not good enough of a deal to make me jump up and buy them right now..... I'd be thinking about what I really wanted in the first place.

Here in Oregon there's a dealer who advertises them for $750, zero miles but Monitors not included. Craigslist prices run $575 to $1,000.
Edit: The $575.00 ad includes the spare, not sure if it includes the TPMS. If I were smarter I'd buy them today.

I personally wouldn't let the pair go for anything less than $900. Probably list for $1000. Wheels alone I'd say $600 maybe $700. The tires aren't worth much but the wheels are pretty nice - especially if basically brand new like yours are. Only thing working against you is a lot of people pull them and sell them so supply is decently high which pushes the price down a bit.

I still have my set...they are just stacked in the garage sitting there. I personally feel like they as a set are worth more to me than what I could get from selling them. Can always sell them later.

The tires are $200.00 each at my local Walmart and Discount Tire. That's new and mounted/balanced of course.

Local dealers are selling takeoffs on the trucks they modify before selling for like 800.
I've seen a lot going for 8-9 on Craigslist and wheels going for 500.But, it's the ones that wheels and tires for $500 that are movinh quickly. Basically you buy the wheels and the tires are free

Craigslist is going to work better than the forums to sell Tacoma parts if you're looking to get top dollar. Generally, people on forums tend to want to lowball anything, which is completely understandable, because we know what the parts are, and there's plenty of inventory.

Case in point, I sold my stock 2013 TRD Off-Road wheels and Rugged Trails for $860 locally with < 1,000 miles on them. I think I had them on the forum for something like $700 and I didn't get a reply to my thread, ever.

Put em up locally for like $900 and take what you're comfortable with, somewhere in the $700-800 range. That way the buyer thinks they got a deal and you've made a decent profit.

I think I sold mine with 500 miles for 750. No sensors. Just the wheels and tires.

I have been seeing alot of the 3rd gen sport rims on 2nd gen trucks to freshen them up. People who are doing that may be willing to pay more then someone already in a 3rd gen. The ones priced $800+ stay on CL alot longer then the $600-800 ones.

Thats a good point also. These 3rd Gens are fairly new, come time 3rd gen owners with Steelies need to buy new tires and the local tire shop is selling a set of 4 for $600-800, they may look for someone selling a set of tires with the upgraded wheels and be willing to pay a little more. timing is everything.

I have bought several sets of wheels (rims) over the years on ebay to mount snow tires on. I want the rims but not the tires.

Based on my experience, a great price to buy a set of alloy wheels is $400 total (including shipping). A good price is $500 and a not great price is $600 or more.

I paid $530 total for a set of 2016 TRD OR rims in perfect condition on ebay. Price included shipping, a full set of lug nuts and 4 center caps.

Let mine go for $600 on CL with no sensors. Rather have them out of the garage as I'll have no use for them.

I'm in the same boat as you brother. I have had mine in the garage, stacked up for a short while now, not sure if I should sell them or not. Mint condition, would probably post the wheels for $400-500? Still trying to gauge CL and other forums before I make a decision.
