    Thank you!!

Yeah those types of tools specific to a job make that job so much easier and are always worth it. These are my plugs after 168k miles! The previous owner never changed them!

I got the same one! I will say it wasn't long enough, so I just doubled up and used another normal extension and that made it possible to get it all done.

Taco needs to work for its pay!
I'm going to drag this to Canada 400 miles one way, along the way I will be picking up some windows.
First pic way too much overhang 7' or so
    [IMG]
If I add 6" to the front ... this brings the ladder ( 20' long) up enough so I can slide the ladder .. giving me my 4' overhang!
Oh ya the Taco has 311,000 + miles ..:mudding:
    Just need some flags!

Chad you aren't worried about the stock spare tire carrier marring your rim?

I've got a large piece of rubber from an old tire tube

Going to rig it up somehow to protect the spare

Along with that...going to figure out a way to protect the rest of the wheel

    Open to suggestions

Just cut a circle out of the old rubber. Hole in the middle for the chain and a slit to slide it over. Then it just sits between the wheel and the hold back on the chain

Thinking this is what I will do

And put the face of the wheel upwards

If I had a rim like that for a spare I'd cut a disc of Delrin or similar , put a stud in it to attach it to the hub of the rim , and let that mate against the metal wheel holder thingy . What you do for tire to frame contact I dunno, rubber tube I guess works fine .

An old man emu rear coilspacer for a fj might work beautifully for what I described

I did a few hundred dollars worth of maintenance to the truck the first week I bought it, and it runs like a top now!
