    Oh Yeah!!!
Yes, it's an awesome set up. Stainless, sounds great. Just dont let Toyota dealer install. They charge hell to much. Get a tourqe wrench and install yourself.

Thanks for the info....I wasnt sure if it was a factory install or dealer install and had not asked my dealer contact either. I figure I will wait on it for now look into that later.

Yes, as long as a dealer installs it.

well, i'm going to have to bump this thread even though it's kind of old lol. i've been wondering about the borla exhaust option, offered by toyota, for a while now. like is it a toyota exclusive set up or can this particular exhaust be viewed on the borla site ?...oh and any soundclips would be pretty cool too, lol.

It came on my '08 XSP and it sounds really good. I was told it sounds different than your typical truck exaust...I figured it was because of the V6. Kind of hard to tell if its a full cat back since I haven't seen a stock setup to compare...but from the looks of it I'd say it is.

My 06 XSP has it. Its a cat back system, including 2-1/2" pipe (I believe), the Borla muffler, and the chrome tip.

Its not stainless, but rather that Aluminized stainless, so its not shiny pretty or anything. It will surface rust, but is never suppose to rust through...

The piping is larger in diameter then stock, so it does flow better.

It sounds good, my complaint is that I think its too loud in the cab. Its almost difficult to make a cell phone call IMO if you drive like I do...lol.

I will be swapping the muffler for a Flowmaster Delta 50 to quit the cab drone, and probably have a muffler shop run all new cat back "real" stainless pipe with a stainless tip that doesnt rust and pit like my Borla is...

The sound is awesome outside, but just to damn loud inside.

SORRY, JUST REALIZED YOU DIDNT START THIS THREAD, AND WERE JUST ASKING ABOUT THE EXHAUST.

    PLEASE DISREGARD...

    PS.

If you are "ordering" the truck, look into the "specialty" packages available.

In the south, its called the XSP. I do think there is a Texas version of this package as well, but its called something else.

Its worth the $, and you WILL BE DIFFERENT... Alot of these options are added at the port (not from the factory or the dealership), and only available in certain regions of the country.

    My XSP included:

    Leather seats
    Leather arm-rests
    XSP nerf bars
    carbon fiber interior
    Borla intake filter
    Borla cat back exhaust
back up camera with LCD in rear view
20" Enkei wheels with lower profile wider tires (i forget the exact size now)
Other stuff I dont even remember without grabbing the paperwork.

Plus, you can still get the TRD SPort package as I did, or off road (i think).

Also, even if you dont tow, I would highly recommend the tow package as it includes the 130 amp altenator, very nice if you plan on a stereo system, lights, etc..

Mine isnt 4X4, but I live in South Florida and really dont need it.
I didnt get the tonneau cover, but will be getting one color matched soon.
Mine didnt come with the Weston Bull Guard, so I bought it on Ebay and installed it in 20 minutes.

Good luck, let us know what you end up with...

I can hear it when I have the windows down and really only when accelerating and even then once it shifts up it's not really noticed.
