Ditto. New to the area and have the same goals.

Also, what's up with Lost Creek? Is that a public road? I'm looking for something easy to get the wife and two girls out and exploring. Any excuse to get a few pinstripes it actually use 4wheel drive the better. Are there areas to explore?
What about the national forests. Are there fire service roads or seasonal roads to get out on?

Lost Creek rd is a public road that anyone can travel. You can definitely do it without fear of pinstripes but there is a possibility of scraping your rear receiver. Some of the entries into the creaks can be quite steep especially after a hard rain. This time of year with as dry as it's been you should be fine. After Lost Creek, go right on MO-94 and hit up Massas Creek Rd. @G.T. also knows of another road down in that area (I forget what its called) that is supposedely another light technical road.

This is kind of far from Stl but it's close to the water. Lol it is in arrowhead park near Jeff city. Behind the truck is a small lake and I was parked about 60 ft from the Osage river. It's really hard to find good camp spots near the rivers here but please enlighten us if you got a good spot. By the way this is not an actual camp spot it's just a small lot, no one was at the lake so I just set up shop.

Yup, we have a connecting route that takes us back north to Reifsneider State Forest. It's a nice scenic drive that is not technical so it won't sketch out the wives and kids. We haven't done a creek cruise in a long time so maybe we need to put together another one.

Can you make that run with stock tires?

yeah I have stock tires and have done it several times. In all honesty you really don't even "need" 4HI to get through it.

It's a fun little cruise. If we meet up early enough we can get to Reifsneider in time for some BBQ'ing. Definitely bring your cameras.

Let's get that scheduled. These are fun trips, especially if it involves food.

August 12 and 13 are bad for me. Moving into new house that week. And I think the wife has drill the last weekend of August, will confirm.

There's an outdoor shooting range at riefsnieder state park so it's always fun to go out and put a few rounds down range.

The 5th sounds fine. We usually meet at the Warranton Walmart store parking lot before rolling out. Meet up at 08:00 sound good?

So I will plan on coming out to meet y'all. The wife has drill so I am baby daddy that weekend, will have the 5 year old and the 11 month old. Not sure how long their attention span will allow me to stay.
