Not to support his story as I think it is very fishey, I work as a mechanic at a Honda dealer. Well a couple of weeks ago I worked on my first Used Car Toyota Prius. The shifter in the car is not a typical shifter. It is located center in the dash about where the radio is in our Tacoma's. It also doesn't list a neutral. If someone has a picture of the shifter please post it so the rest of you can get an Idea what it looks like and why he would say if he put it in neutral he thought it might flip. The shifter has park and drive basicaly. When stopped it goes into park but when rolling I think it might go into neutral but did not try it for my self.

Again I still think this is a scam of some sort. But having driven one it is weird. And no I did not try stepping on gas and brake at the same time.

Confused me too when I went to drive the vehicle. If I remember right the shifter came back up to the center or N position after you would pull it down to D or push it up to R. I think to put it in N you would have to move it right and then back to N if you were in Drive. Now if you were used to driving the car you would know the in and outs of the controls. But having only drove one one time it sure was confusing.

future plan of 2" drop and any type of rim thats not a steelie. grille and BHLM mods, maybe....
this brings up the point of READING the owners manual. Especially on something new with this type of controls. I drove a Benz yesterday, 2009 C330 or somthing like that, low end model....i couldnt figure out the radio...nor did i see one. at 95 mph is NOT the time to try to figure it out. I was asked to drive to MILFs to the bar, ones my neighbor ;) yeah anyway, this guy had the car since 2008...going on 3 years. If my info i read 1st hand is right, his car is a LEASE, so guess whats coming up....yup hes going to have to turn the car in and he stated 35k miles so hes within the milage but wear and tear or have to get another car and hes in DEBT.....hes trying to minipulate Toyota for a new car...watch...

so he knows how to use the car and shift it into NEUTRAL, hes had it almost 3 years. Granted, a few tacoma members never saw the pop out tray on the left of the steering wheel either and our trucks are around for 5 years :)
