So guys I totally forgot I got a freakin build thread. I never concluded my process with the shifter knob. I got the "trd" one that is made for the 4Runner/sequoia and it actually fits right on there. The issue is it is too deep causing you to either cut the bottom up a little or put an extension. I have experimented with both.

With the extension it gave the knob another 3.75 inches and made it high like a manual stick shift feels. That's not a bad feeling, but considering how elevated that the shifter already is being an automatic it grew to be a little annoying as I wasn't used to having it at that height and would occasionally smack it while moving around in the front seat.

After this a fellow member @DanDiggity recommended to remove the bottom piece to free up some clearance. Not sure how he got his off, but mine seemed to be one piece on the plastic shroud and so I took a dremel and trimmed it up. I would argue now it sits at the stock height if not slightly lower. I'm very pleased with it and it feels much sturdier than the oem one I used to have. Which btw, if anyone for some reason needs an oem one let me know. It has a small scratch on the top, but that's it.

Ah damn son, bringing some serious A game here.

    Respect.

On a serious note, I am starting the process to remove my bedsides of my truck to help prep for glass next week. It will be fun to pick these bad boys up.

Going to...gonna mount them first and drill holes before paint though although drilling on bedsides wont be as big of a deal as fenders are after paint. My painter is already expecting me to drop them off for paint in two weeks or less.

Gonna start the process of the next phase. After these are painted in this month, next will be bed cage/RTT bed rack set up. Then after that going LT rear.

They def kick some ass when they are needed. Unfortunately I will be in hobo camper status until I get the bed rack squared up. Im hoping the majority of this build will be concluded suspension wise by the end of this year...atleast from a fabrication standpoint.
