It's been at 150 for an hour.

Coming up now since I wrapped it.

 

70 posts in the crock pot thread already? I seriously don't have the time to even open that and start reading.

Guess I left out that part... I meant since you wrapped it. After wrap it still sits there for a bit.

 

I'm up to 160 now.

 

That is what I did this morning, except at about 193. Just now cut a piece off each, the flat and point, and I am quite impressed with myself for being my first brisket.

I also his the stall at around 150.

 

Actually knocking off early today, and hope to finally do some smoking all weekend. As soon as i get home going to throw on some wings and thighs for about 15 people, going to start drinking around 4 to pre-game for the Sturgill Simpson show tonight.

I do like to do crock pot meals during the week though, cook while you are at work!

 

Got back from beach, never did make the ABTs so I'll do them Sunday. Last time they looked like this...

Scotch eggs to boot.

 

I had to look up Scotch eggs. Never heard of them but they sound wonderful.

 

If you reheat them in micro, slice in half and put flat side on plate. They can blow up if you micro them whole

 

Oh, that sounds like something to make and take it to the station and leave for the next crew.

 

Careful, even if they don't blow up they can get mouth-burning hot if reheated whole. Or so I've read.

 

Did homegrown pork chops for dinner last night

 

I'm thinking of stuffing some halved Anaheim peppers with chopped ham, pineapple, and shrimp. Wrapped in bacon, smoked with a mild wood.

Anyone done this? Thoughts?

 

I'd put a cheese binder in there, like shredded Swiss and cream cheese. Otherwise they might fall apart as you eat them, but the combo sounds great.

 

Here it is first brisket in the books. Came out amazing.
