Well technically prime rib is a roast from the oven ;)

I did however smoke a 16lb brisket last weekend.

This would have been perfectly paired with DFH 120 Min but I drank my last one a couple weeks ago :(

I've always been taught freshwater fishing is quitter fishing. I feel like I'm gunna have to give in and go over to the dark side though cause our ocean temps have been hovering between 58 and 65 degrees which is about 10-17 degrees below what they should be right now.

Nice! I have a smoker, but used exclusively for salmon.

Safeway has the best prime rib steaks, better than the butcher shop. Wife on the other hand will only eat tenderloin. She's a snob. :D

The sharks have been eating well actually. The offshore boats have been losing half their tuna to them(commercial and rec). This is the best year for tuna we've had in a while, unfortunately, it's the most abundant the sharks have been in a long time as well. We had a "bomb" wash up today down south too.

I've had this aging for 7 months (it's already been aged for 11 before bottling). Phenomenal beer in my opinion, I'm excited to try it again in another 4 months.

Not good. Here it's the killer whales. Swim through and kill the salmon fishing for a few days. If not them, the damn seals stealing the fish off your line. Those freakin' things are so lazy, they wait on the shore until they hear your reel scream, then they dive to snatch them.

Sounds like them seals have a system going. I don't know about the seals but here the sharks that are ripping the tuna apart are protected, so there's no thinning them out.

Well, some people in Canada club the babies with big sticks, but I'm not a fan of that activity. I'm ok with synthetics.

Oh hell no! Fly to. Rental car to north. Fly seaplane to island. Backpack for week. Big boat back to land. Drive back south to airport.

Backpacking in Detroit? Don't hike downtown. Been there a few times, not the place to pitch a tent. :D

    What island you going to?

If it's legal, its legal. If not, then that's where I have a problem. I'm a firm believer with hunting and fishing as long as the right permit is in hand.

@NINK any feedback on that SSP now that you have had it for a month or so? Do you use it a lot or not really? Wondering if it would be worth spending the $200 for the 5% of the time my tranny is annoying the shit out of me.
