    I know lol I want it! Haven't truly needed it so far and def don't want to. It would be nice to get the air intake away from dirt though

    I don't run through water enough to justify an ARB. The budget one will pay for itself in a run or 2.

    I just got home from a trip for work and my snorkel and other components are here waiting for me. The template that came with my snorkel (eBay) aligns with the holes for the studs perfectly, and the hole for the hole saw looks to align as well. I've already marked and trimmed it to match the outline of the snorkel itself. Now I just have the rest of the week to build up the courage to drill a hole in my fender this weekend...

    So, I done went and did it. I checked the placement multiple times with and without the studs inserted, and a few more getting the template lined up right. I ended up a little too far forward and about an inch higher than I needed to be to plumb the hose through the factory air intake hole, so I had to trim the inner fender. Luckily, my cuts were straight, so I was able to use some pieces of door edge guard from AutoZone to trim out the chop job. Overall, it doesn't look to shabby. I did run a bead of RTV around the snorkel body to seal up the gaps, and that got a little smeary, so I'll be cleaning that up tomorrow.

    How was the quality of this one? Cheapest one so far and if it's the same as the one on Amazon I might have to pick one up (if it fits a 2nd gen)

    Quality seemed to be on par with the others (not that I've seen any other snorkels up close). It has some weight to it and the plastic feels pretty strong.

    My biggest piece of advice is to forget the whole measure twice, cut once. Measure 89 times before you cut. I would also suggest having another set of eyes/hands if at all possible. It's not totally necessary, but it's not a bad idea.

    ill just leave this here.....a good tip, dont use their template, make your own and measure from the top of the hood down. i will post a guide on what i did later today.
