With the demand of pros out there, I think you got a good point here. They know these are sought after and depending on the demographic some can choose to not negotiate...much.

If you're in a remote area with one small town dealership that gets maybe one a year, they probably won't budge on price.

Sometimes MSRP or more is the price you pay if you really need a PRO.

That's true. The dealer I have bought several cars from in the past has a policy that they won't sell Pros below sticker, no exceptions. So they had one for several months, but it eventually sold.

But that someone also has the option to look elsewhere and travel to find a better deal. If they think saving their time is worth the extra money, then that's their prerogative.

Sure, but then you also need to determine how much time and travel money you want to spend to find that perfect truck for you.

Then there's the financing as many people do, how much does the interest on your loan on your "deal" push it over actual MSRP?

All kinds of variables to consider before you say you "bent the dealer over".

For me, as long as the buyer leaves happy with the deal and they can afford it then they made a good deal whether it's a $100k sportscar or a $1k hoopty.

Nobody said bent the dealer over, the comment was the other way around, and not made by me. And I didn't finance.

Not arguing with you.... just stating that because someone who goes into a dealership, walks out paying MSRP and is happy with the deal should not be ridiculed by someone who hasn't found themself in the same situation.

And you're not the one who ridiculed the OP.
