Looks good man. Mine is similar and I just got the racks from ORS racks and got the 54 for my DCSB leer. I had to cut them down 2 in to fit the end caps though. So maybe 48 would work better. Just make sure you stay wide of the honeycomb underneath and fill the holes with plenty of the sealant in and around screws. Also the shell isnt always consistent dimension wise and narrows towards rear end.

Nice dude thanks for the tips. Yeah I was wondering what that panel was in the middle.

I was thinking of making up a prinsu like rack with some t slot extrusions. But I'm thinking that would kinda be a waste if I'm just mounting the tent up there. I could just get away with two cross bars. Leaning that direction now.

Did you get the whole kit with the crossbars?

Yeah man no worries. I just got the tracks as I am also getting a prinsu to evenly distribute the weight across the shell. Mine isn't commercial but with a rack I have heard they are fine for RTT. If you have the commercial you could run it on the bars but it sits pretty high so I have seen and read on others threads. I want mine to be low pro but still accessible to the bolts. If you have the ability to make a custom like prinsu rack then go for it man. I would love to see it.

I really need to see a prinsu with RTT mounted to get better dimensions and ideas on weight distribution. I'm thinking 6-7 cross bars and that rack will be more than enough and keep it decently slim to shell. Also might get another prinsu over cab and mount there. If I don't like either choices and heights after that it's a bed rack by CBI. Check out the RTT owners thread man so much info in there.

Plus a couple guys in here now have shells and also prinsu racks so with our powers combined we should have some solid input and feedback.

Yeah even distribution should be a priority. I get kinda impulsive and tend to rush these things. I'm going to take a stab at building a Prinsu like rack. Pricing out all the individual components it isn't much of a savings but I'm that idiot who will spend weekend upon weekend Diy'ing shit I could buy for the same or only slightly more money. Sometimes less money. Lol

A GOOD detail with paint correction, depending on level of correction needed, can take up to 30+ hrs. The last detail I did on my truck was only a 2 stage correction and took me right at 26.5 hrs. I've been involved with others that were in much worse shape and it took me and two others over 18 hrs but it came out better than new when done. It was a 97 black m3. Had a reflection that would make a mirror jealous.

yea I've seen some of those..... that's borderline a paint "restoration" haha

I dont consider that a "detail" though... I guess what I'm looking for is a semi-annual wash / wax / clay bar and that's about it and I dont want to spend $500+.... but someone PMed me with a recommendation for their younger brother who charges $150 and says he does a good job. so I think I'm going to give him a call and try him out.

HUGE thanks to @GC8Steve for the Bestop!!!
