    One of my hikes today.

    There wasn't enough internet to load the site on the laptop. The water heater doesn't seem to work the greatest for my needs. I'm turning the water on for 30 seconds, getting wet then shutting it off, lather then rinse. So my plan is to make a PVC storage tank for the roof to use for the shower. It'll be heated up a little bit which will be enough for me. I'll leave the valving setup so i can pull from the other on board tank if needed.

    I busted out another 10 miles of hiking today. Much less elevation change (mainly the descending) so knees are good to go. Started getting some workouts in while hiking, shoulders today) and I'm planning on building a body weight rope setup so i can work out as long as i have a tree branch. It is hard adjusting to not having a big box hardware store within hundreds of miles. I've been able to find what i need so far though.

    I started to drive down from there, heard elk bugling or making some sorts of noises and decided this little pullout would be my spot for the night. I was hoping the elk would stick around.

    Heading Northwest tomorrow, likely end up in Montana tomorrow night. Chalking up my second night in Bighorn National Forest.

    And i got around to building more capacity for on board water.. a dedicated tank for the shower.

    I learned that Montana doesn't use the black ABS, so i had to use pvc and paint it. They only stocked 4 and 6"... I wanted 5. So i ended up with 6".

    Total capacity is over 7 gallons, it'll heat it up enough for me, i don't like saunas anyways. The water heater i had works great, just didn't work great for my use (trying to conserve water and turn it on and off).

    I'll use this only for showers but also can pull from the other tank if needed. I plan to leave the hose on there all the time, water goes i inside through a filter then the pump, then out to the shower head.

    If i was building from scratch i probably would've just pressurized the pvc instead of the pump, but since it's already here might as well use it.

    It'll also hopefully help a little with the taco lean.

    Also spent over two hours this morning trying to evict kangaroo rats/squirrels from the cowl and then the engine bay. No damage that i saw although one wire had the tape pulled off a little. It did not want to leave, ended up having to coerce it out after it would hang out on the skid plate.

    They should not. Supposed to be safe places to park.

    Some of the larger ones that are open even have bathrooms and vending machines in side for drivers

    Most have the readout outside. A lot of closed scales still have the scale powered on. If there open I don't see why not. They might look at ya funny, but typically there nice people in there.

    FYI there typically accurate to 10-20lbs

    As I just had to go into weigh station in sheredon wy, he said most would give ya the weight readout. They won't print it but will let you know the weight

    Not sure what I was thinking, but hiked 15 miles yesterday in Glacier NP. Not bad for someone who doesn't like hiking.

    Sunday i spent the day paddle boarding in the river next to camp. The third day on the board, surviving Gusty winds, the rushing water, a bit of wave action, not bad. The 50-60 degree water felt awesome though.

    Time to head... Somewhere. Hopefully find a camp spot with service so I can do some pictures and updates.

    With a precise amount of backroad dust, black gorilla tape blends in beautifully with MGM paint.

    I'll blame this on @Squeaky Penguin since i was following him when it happened. :rofl:

    The tab is broken from the fender so it wasn't sitting flush. I didn't want it catching another branch or the wind and ripping off further.

    I had partial service last night but not enough for an update. Might have enough now although it took a good two minutes for that picture to load.

    FS is going out on Friday to recon the Morrison Trail. They said to call back later on Friday and see if it's going to be open on Saturday.
