I only have 2 Tupperware the rest is steel and there may or may not be an original point and click interface or 3 in there . I can say the Tupperware is much lighter when out and about.

Christie and I bought an Ozark trail 73 qt cooler (Yeti knock off) today. When I get home I read and watch reviews (backwards I know) it was only keeping ice for 4-5 days. Do any of you have exsperience with these? I may return it the Cabelas polar cat 60qt holds ice for 9-12 days but another $100 or so

I don't. But 4-5 days is not enough?

My goal will be to go off grid for up to 7 days at a time, eventually. We will start in camp grounds first.

All of the newer ice chests need to be pre chilled. I have a kodi from HEB local grocery store chain. Like Winn dixie. Or piggly wiggly.
I use Arctic ice freezer bricks made in Katy Tx. You could also make your own with 2 " Pvc pipe and caps as long as you can have space to freeze the pipes.

Gotcha! We've found that the bulk ice you get from those drive up machines last longer to.

Ozark trail, walmart Chinese yeti knock off, did just as good in the tumbler side by side tests with Yeti. Not all Yetis are made in USA. I'm sure you got a good deal but in the end it's up to you.

If I'm going to be out in the Desert for some time I use frozen gel pads or blocks and even dry ice if available

Made it home in one piece. I couldn't believe the idiots swerving all over the highways on their phones...even an idiot driving a concrete truck near Bakersfield, and he was all over the lines!

Last time I used it was when I went to close quarters combat training and basic gunfighting drills a few years ago

Use salt water in 2" Pvc pipes. Don't sweat. YouTube vids show how to make your own ice packs. Salt in any water will help it more than without.

Those don't bother me as bad as driving texters. I can usually guess what a trailer without lights is going to do.

I gave him a 100 yards. He couldn't go faster than 50 before the sway started but I know what ya mean on texters. Should be up there with drunk driving. Stoners just pull over in fast food parking lot and eat it off.

I pre chilled my 75 qt with 30lbs of ice last Sunday. Put all my food in Monday am non frozen and added 10 lbs ice. Was in it alot. Hot as :censored: down here and it did well. Cleaned it out today and water still cold. Large freezer bricks worked well.
