I doubt there are any places that let you tint the windshield. I just think she didn't know to inspect that. She just makes sure the vin stuff all matches and emissions stuff is there.

Tell them to hurry up with that rear bumper!!

I'm tempted to just buy a gen2 bumper and hope it fits close enough. Haha

Haha I asked and they couldn't confirm it. I don't blame them. The second rumor starts about something the would be getting phone calls left and right. But definitely awesome people there.

I want to see I can find a shop that will build something like this. But without having my truck.

    I know!

And that rear bumper is pretty simple. So I don't see why someone couldn't do it based off of me measuring stuff. :notsure:

All pro said the rear is going to be similar to this. Which is kind of ugly. Plus a wrap around won't work for me.

If they made it a plated instead of tube wrap around it wouldn't be bad. I love the prerunner style but its not for my build.

hey when we do the leaf springs I bet you could make a template of my stock bumper brackets and build the rest yourself very easily... its just an extended version of the brackets from the oem mount and then square tubing across and round tubing with a filler plate!

I emailed BAMF to see if they can do it. They are sort of close if I needed to drive there so he can measure.

Well apparently BAMF is "manufacturing only" and doesn't work on vehicles. Whatever that means.

    So they are out.

    A few things
Try brute force in Fresno. It's a little farther, but he's a good guy and makes great products.

When my last job closed I ended up with a bunch 80/20 extruded aluminum and some hardware. Tomorrow I'm going to try building a new rtt and gear rack with it.

@90yota I'm pretty sure I'm getting rid of my softtopper. I love it and works really well but it (or my truck) looks so stupid with these land yacht bedsides. :pout:

I'll second that! Billy from brute force is awesome, he's super busy now but his stuff looks and functions great!

Made a rack today. Hopefully it doesn't fall apart on the first off road trip. Made it from some 80/20 stuff I got for free. Seems pretty sturdy. Has a little side to side wobble. So I'll have to fix that at some point.

I'm curious to see how that holds up I've been thinking about using 80/20 for a roof rack for my shell

I've definitely got some improvments to make. I was really limited to what I had on hand. So I had to design it based on he diff I had. Not the other way around.

There are some things I'm a little worried about but I'll work on fixing those before any serious off road.

I'm also really limited to the fact I can't use my bedrails. I'm doing to look to tie into my bed cage or something.

For a roof rack I think this stuff would work pretty well since you aren't on stilts like I am.

Have you ever looked into their strength ratings
    https://8020.net/deflection-calculator
Somewhere they also have ratings on the joints also

Why yes. I do have a piece of interior shelving zip tied to my rack.
