    Hey gang,
It's been over a month since I had Toyota perform the work on my truck regarding the shaking/shuttering in tight turns at low speeds. They changed the fluids and added new additive and it has solved the problems. I have not experienced any shakes/shutters since, even on cold mornings when it was prominent.

My truck has the stock tires and they definitely are not rubbing. If yours are bigger then maybe that could be a contributing factor but with the stock ones they should not cause and vibrations. The rear slip and where the differential is for the rear axle is all in the same unit. It's the housing unit for all the fluids and additives.

The OP has a 1st gen which does not have a limited slip differential like yours.

Super old thread revive but I've got a similar issue.

I did a transfer case & both diff fluid change with Movile 1 75-90 with the LSD additive in it cause that's what Orielys had. I also got my tires rotated (back crossed to front) for he first time in like 10k miles. They're 265/75/16 on stock wheels with stock suspension.

Now when I accelerate from a stop with the wheel turned in either direction I get this odd vibration shudder for a few seconds but then it goes away as I am straightening out. I never had it before and I am concerned maybe it's a diff or driveline issue. I've look for evidence of rubbing but haven't found any.

Could it just be that my tires had uneven wear that I can't see with the naked eye so they're gripping hard on the pavement? What things can o do to try and identify the cause?

New member, first time Tacoma owner. Bad advice I put 75 90 with additive in rear dif. Shortly after the vibration started while turn at low speed. After going on to Tacoma World i was hoping I found the issue. So I changed it again to 80 90 and added TransX. Now she drives as smooth as Tennessee whiskey

I have the same issue with my 07 4x4 sport. We replaced the rear wheel bearing that was bad. No difference yet. ( that was a bear of a job) The center driveshaft carrier bearing is a little loose. Replacing that and u joints next week.
Also. I still feel as though it is an Differential issue. Bought some LSD additive from Toyota and put if in after changing fluid. Still shudders on low speed turns.
