hey guys I replaced my stratched headlight on my truck after a parking lot incidient where some panels had to be repainted and decided to replace the headlight. I was wondering if any one knew how to repair this headlight, a mechanic was saying sanding and re clearcoating it would make it good. Anyone who knows how to fix it?

Are those scratches or is it paint transfer? Hard to tell from pics. I would start with machine polishing first before I tried sanding by hand. I recently had to sand mine and polish due to oxidation. Then I coated with Opti-lens.

Yikes! Best bet is to wet sand and then machine polish. You may not be able to get them out depending upon the depth.
