One side done. New drums, cylinder and spring hardware. Other side should be quicker.

Probably easier to get to the starter on the 4cyl than the v6 also

Bolts don't tighten up by themselves... they rust or the starter isn't original... you know this...

They were corroded in there...we'll broaden the term "rust" to "oxidation", since there is aluminum involved....took a lot of torch and pb blaster to get them to break lose without breaking off the heads

Ok. I have an extra spring that I have no clue where it came from or where it should go. Help please.

It's the black spring in the center of this pic.

Thanks Murph. I have everything in that Haynes pic. That one black spring is not shown.
Where the hell did that come from?

Found out where it came from.
It's the internal spring inside the original wheel cylinder. It pushes the two cylinders out. Must have sprung out when the torn rubber cylinder boot came off.

so I just got rear ended outside my apartment. no damage to my truck thanks to my @Pelfreybilt rear plate bumper. Only some scuff on the line-x. so here is the issue, this nut bag got out of her car saying i backed into her, which she backpeddled and stated "its your fault, you didn't have a signal on", which I didn't, but If I'm not mistaken, when you see brake lights, you slow down, or stop, not ram into the back of the person's vehicle. Anyway, we exchanged insurance information, and I already know its gonna be "he said, she said". So my question is about dash cams, I'm definitely going to look into getting front & rear, but does anyone know if they lower the rate or premium?

Not in Philly. Apparently that's the standard in PA now, if there is no injuries, and both vehicles are drive-able, they won't even come to the scene. My truck is fine, my agent told me this chick has an uphill battle since she hit me from behind.

Philly cops tell you to GFY in a fender bender.
