    I guess im too slow :anonymous:

    I think he is waiting for the new tents to arrive. Inspect them make sure they are the same quality with the new add ons than start up again. I'm guessing a month out or so unless they have some bulit and are shipping in a week or less. @ChandlerDOOM any insight? For when the larger order will Take place?

    How's everyone mounting this 85" long beast? If using a bed rack inside the 48" track of a short bed I figure 35" goes unsupported over the tailgate. :angrygirl:

    You have a picture of your rack? my rack on my topper should be the same size as a bedrack or smaller I just have the overhang on the cab vs the back. The tent doesn't sit on my front rack at all

    Ordered an RCI. Found the pic below here on TW.

    CD, by estimating the pics you took I"m guessing you have about 31" of overhang towards the hood.RCI bedrack with long tent.jpg

    It would be helpful if you could slide the bed rack closer to the rear to even the overhang a little on each side. I guess you could but you would have to figure out the mounts on the rear of the rack since it would be away from the track

    I've seen one build where the guy mounted a long bed RCI rack on a short bed using the rear factory hole towards tailgate. He just had to grind the bed down a bit and add some washers and it fit. Maybe you could slide the rack back towards the tailgate and use that factory hole so that the overhang would be more even to the front and back?

    @ChandlerDOOM

    I'm about to make a set of cross bars using T-slot extrusions like your rack is made out of. I was thinking I'd do 3 bars. Could I trouble you to send dimensions of those connector straps? I'd like to fab up an extra set so I can strap it to all 3 bars instead of just the front and back ones.

    Don't put me on the list, but I'm watching this with high interest if you ever do this again for a second shipment. Las Cruces, NM. Looks like a replica of the Maggiolina.

    Yup, now with the shell change it will look a little different but fabric still similiar. After talking with @G.T. I may try and offer different fabric options. The fabric unzips from the shell so swapping fabric for winter season would be easy. Something thicker with a thermal barrier would be nice

    woah, so we can actually take the fabric completely off the tent and still have the "shell" of the tent up?

    Besides the windows, but they roll up. If it's not too hot one of these week days I'll open the tent up and unzip the fabric to show what it looks like

    that sounds so freaking awesome though. If the weather is nice you can just basically have a nice comfy mattress on top of your truck and have all the views you want with no creepy crawlies from the ground and all the airflow you desire.
