As the title says, I've been a long time Jeep fan/owner. Went through three different models, YJ (94), TJ (01) and JKU (15). While I loved all of my Jeeps they just never seemed to be "truck" enough. Case in point...towing capacity. Looking to be a new boat owner in the next 10-12 months made me realize that my Jeep just wasn't going to cut it. 3500# towing capacity is just unacceptable for anything above skis. And a 24' CC is well above that.

So, have been perusing the threads for a few days and wanted to say hello. While my Taco won't be tricked out to the max (only 2wd) I'll still be making some changes.

    Cheers!

It took me a few days to research and realize that (for my needs) 4wd isn't the be all end all. But the option to move up will still poke me regularly.

Welcome to the club from another former Jeep who came over to the dark side for the exact same reasons. I may have another Jeep someday, but it'll have to be a second vehicle to the truck.

Hello, brother! Not gonna lie...the Taco scene feels a little neglected. Its time this situation gets more lively.
