    I wish I had gotten pictures of some of the "roads" I took the Highlander down to get to the fishing spots with the family. Or at least the creek flowing across the trail that made me turn around. Or the road GPS insisted I take that was actually the driveway to a ranch with no bridge over the river to where I wanted to get to.

    oh well.
    When driving through Arkansas, if you uncheck the "avoid unpaved roads" option on the GPS, be aware that you might spend an hour+ without seeing pavement or even another human.

    One of the areas I explored...
    The red lines running North/South are paved. All others are not. It's roughly 15 miles across not counting zig-zag of mountain roads, wrong turns leading to dead ends, unfavorable water crossings, and so on.

    roof rack off, brackets added, all repainted. Still not sure how I'll make the Tough Boxes secure really but they have a place to nest in at least.

    New oil in motor and transfer case.
    Truck hand washed.
    Finally cleaned the LBL mud off the inside of the windshield.

    Sanded and repainted my spare wheel to smooth out the finish. Don't know why every clear I have tried results in pock-marked look.

    Time for a drink. :cheers:

    so vibration i had assumed to be tire balance wasn't there today.

    Either i had mud on a wheel and it finally got sprayed off or a ujoint is going out and packing with grease helped it.

    Guess I'll grease ujoints again if vibe starts back to see what happens.

    It's a drivetrain problem most likely then. If it were mud in the front wheels then the steering wheel would shake. If it were mud in the back wheels then you would feel it in the ass of the truck but it wouldn't be that bad. If it's the driveshaft, you'll feel it in your seat like your truck falling apart. Easy enough to check u joints and carrier bearing

    put an auto-dimming with compass in wife's Highlander too.
