Fun but long weekend at a swim meet in Tahoe. Was stoked to head home, but a sheriff whipped around me and blocked the road at the base of echo summit.


Motorcycle accident. He said it would be awhile. So I whipped around and took 88 home. Never been that way before. Awesome drive in the mini!

 

I'm a fan of 88. But I'm coming from the south on 49.

50 is good too but I only go as far as icehouse rd...

Also anyone want a rooster...? Got 4 chickens a couple months ago and one of them turned out to be a rooster. Little shit keeps crowing at 6 in the morning.

At least they wait till the morning to crow. My brother lives in Patterson were there are free range chicken roaming around the neighborhoods. Fuckers will start crowing when the street lights come on.

Hwy 88 and I aren't friends. 3 deer strikes in 16 years. Almost totaled my last BMW wagon. But it's a helluva road in the MR2!

 

88 and I aren't friends either in the winter. Stopped too many times at the spur on powder days. It was a huge factor when putting a camper on my old Scout. Camped at Kirkwood a few times when the spur and 89 were closed. Fresh tracks till noon . 88 was my buddy on those days.

not to mention the miles on your car or truck, I was putting almost 100k miles a yr on my own cars /trucks a new one every yr or two that's when I said fuck this im getting a local job.it was about the same $4 dollars less an hr unless it was a PW job then it was a lot less, but no more car payments now as I don't need to travel I don't need new vehicles all the time
