How about ordering the sport hood decal? It's almost like the pro but it goes a little longer like it has fangs. However, what I'm actually suggesting is using that decal to cover your scoop. It probably has more than enough material and you can just cut off the excess.s-l1600.jpg

Ya I wrapped mine matte black. Costs me $20.
And if you are having it painted anyway who's cares how it comes.. the body shop will know how to properly prep it.

It is a very similar texture to the grill.

It will be black like the pro not color matching the truck. If they can't present a good option or if it doesn't come out right then I will wrap it.

In regards to to the decal, I'll be looking for that as well. My dealer hasn't had any luck with a part number for the pro decal and has only found the "fang" version or the TRD pro hood decal that apparently isn't available yet.

It had damage so it was getting painted anyways.

Yep. I read somewhere on another post that the reason it's not out yet is due to vendor issues. But there are some pics with it on new TRD Pros both the hood and the bedsides. I could get down with the hood but the bedsides makes it look like the old Ford splash editions.

Interestingly enough, this official video from Toyota shows the Pro with the fang decal (clearly seen at around 1:43)

Sure enough. Maybe they were having a hard time getting the other decal too. Lol

Is it color matching the grille color/texture?

I’m hoping to replace my Off Road hood with a Sport hood as well due to hail damage. I’m hoping it works out.
