x2. I wish I knew what I was doing when I bought mine. Canadian import, no TSBs done to it (and US dealers won't do them), I had no idea about the frame rust issue, etc. A year later, and I'm still finding (and fixing) little things the dealer never fully disclosed.

Well there were 2- 2011 Tacoma's left on the lot. A 2x4 and a 4x4 and they were selling them for $4500 less than the local dealer. They offered excellent blue book value on my '00 Tacoma sight unseen. I didn't want a 2012.

I had been following 2nd gen for 5 years before I bought mine. I pretty much knew more about them than any of the salesmen. I was aware of the TSB's and knew I was ripping the suspension out of it 2 months after I got it before I bought it. I didn't need anything higher than a SR5. I already knew it would be getting a pretty good bit of mods done to it also including drilling the frame for sliders. It was pretty much all planned out before I bought the truck.

I'm an asshole when I buy a vehicle usually. I've walked quite a few times while they were still talking. I told the guy at one dealership what I wanted and what it didn't need on it. I said upfront when we sat down he had one chance to get this right or I'm walking with the bottom cash price. He slid his offer across the table and I stood up and said you lost any sale you could have made from me and walked out. He called me the next week to see about getting me back in to talk and I told him I bought a new Tacoma the next morning. He shut the hell up right quick. His manager called me after that and said he didn't know how they could have sold me that truck for that price. I told him some places make more money by volume not seeing how much they can get out of each person that walks in.

That dealer which was my local dealer thought they were doing something by making my $700 bill for my wheel bearing on my '00 disappear if I bought from them. Pfff.

I had walked over to the new lot waiting on my truck to be finished. Vulture came over right away and asked if I was interested in a new truck. I said if the price was right perhaps but I'm not in need of anything.

That's the plan. I've stared at the 60hz tv and can't see any difference, with the sports demo playing. But I wasn't sure if they were tweaking something somewhere to minimize the effect...

So, I guess at this point, 60hz it is.

    I'll hold y'all responsible.

I bought my 2015 Taco sight unseen. Miss that truck. Don't miss the stupid ass howling from the window, though.
