How much did you sell your TRD Off-Road rims and grill for?

I got a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road double cab a few weeks ago.

I don't plan on too many modifications. I do however want the TRD Pro grill and the TRD Pro wheels and a few other small modifications that I will add as time(and $$) permits.

Planning on the grill and wheels first. Mine are intact and almost brand new. For those of you who have sold the grill and wheels, how much were you able to sell them for? Trying to figure out how much these two mods are going to cost me in the end. I can check craigslist to see what they are currently asking for these take off items but the actually sale price is unknown.

I figure someone with an entry level Tacoma has to want a chrome grill and someone must want the rims as well for an older model that they have or to make their SR/SR5 look like a TRD Off-Road.

I actually found it more profitable to separate them, did this just by happen stance while waiting for my ray 10's than on purpose. But any who I got $400 for my stock goodyears with 100 miles on them and got $450 for my wheels with 500 miles on them, used craigslist. Unfortunately the market is getting a bit saturated and they will continue to lose value. I remember trying to sell my sport wheels off my 15, hahahaha, what a joke, think I got $250 for them.

 

Very few buy the TRD grill, I listed mine early 2016 and got one bite, I actually gave it away, and mine had the painted surround.

 

Keeping the tires, just want to sell the rims and grill. I saw someone sell the TRD grill for $150 here locally but it had some broken tabs so I figured intact they might be worth more.

 

Most want to get rid of the TRD grill not even SR5 guys want it lol, I wouldnt try for anything more than $100

 

I know, but there's always that one person who wants chrome rims, chrome grill, chrome steps and even chromes out the door lines

 

Supply and demand my friend, the market is oversaturated, just glance on CL, eBay and here, plenty for sale, none selling for anything near the $150 you mentioned. Just trying to help.

 

Yes, I know about supply and demand. Will try $100 for that grill and see what happens. I hope I do a little bit better on the wheels.

 

I gave my TRD grill to a friend with a SR5 he plasti dipped it !
I'm sorting thru the final 3 choices for suspensions ..but same friend has dibs on my stock offroad suspension and wheels and tire's ! He's going to have to pay $10!im laying down the law on those .
Be smart , donate your grill to goodwill get the full price write off on your taxes because there not worth $50 !
Your wheels and tire's should fetch $500 to $800 .

 

You should. $400-500 range for wheels in good shape/new. GLWS.

 

I sold some trd or wheels and lugs for $500 on CL.

 

You will honestly be extremely lucky if you can sell the Stock Grille, there is no demand for it.

 

I did the same for my tires, and got a similar return.

As for the stock grille, it's hard to sell in my opinion. I listed mine for $50 and it's been radio silence lol

 

I paid $40 for a grille to paint black cause I wanted to keep my original one just in case.

 

Listed my off-road wheels on CL for $500. Got a bunch of lowball offers and held my ground. Finally sold them after a month for $475.00. without sensors or lugs. Haven't had any luck selling the grill for even $50.

 

I sold the tires for $400 and the wheels a few months later for $500.

 

I just posted on a different thread I sold my 2017 TRD OR OEM take-offs wheels and tires with only a few hundred miles for $900 w/o TPMS on CL. Sold them to an SR5 owner. I installed the Pro grill but still have my OEM grill, good luck selling yours.

 

Sold my TRD off road grill for $60 locally, the girl painted it black with the toyota symbol orange to match her inferno, it actually looks really good.
