A bear is probably less likely to climb up into a tent, when there is food in a nice bag that he just needs to walk through

    yea i totally get that.

the set up / break down being INSANELY fast is a pretty big perk..... it's easy to see why 2 people w/ no kids would use a tent....

but longer term when you start introducing kids into the mix, 2 tents only seems more logical... and unless you plan on running dual RTTs, youre going to be on the ground. haha

a bear would climb up an RTT ladder and get me.... I'd make a GREAT snack.... I'm slow, husky, and probably taste delicious.

Whoa whoa. I don't want to be hearing that nonsense!! I'm still blissfully ignorant in my thinking that children are wayyyy off in the future and if/when they do become a reality, they will not have a significant impact on my daily life or fun. Don't ruin that for me.

There was this same debate in another thread asking why RTTs are so expensive. It got SUPER heated and was an entertaining read. All I'll say on the matter is I'm never going to own one, but if you can afford it and want to buy it, good on you

For me I can definitively say that because of our dog. He's 85 lbs and there's no way I'm getting him up in the tent. If I were to leave him in the truck without us in sight in a new place, he'd freak the fuck out. That's why I really want the camper shell with a sliding front window, so we can put him in the cab and sleep in the bed.

What do y'all think of the new CB install? Made it kinda incognito if I need it to be. Pics with mic attached and stored away.IMG_20170717_153720833.jpg

I just did a half ass install of that radio last weekend for a road trip. I couldn't bring myself to drill into the dash. Props to you.

    Very nice.

Where did you put the radio itself?

For this one the radio itself is built into the mic. There is a small module just to hook the antenna up and give it power but you do everything on the mic so I have it tucked behind the dash

Did you tune your antenna? I bought the little meter but didn't get around to that yet.

My buddy has the meter and I will be using it sometime this week to change it but I haven't done it yet
