I have a 2011 tacoma and I am having issues with the AC and how hard it ISN'T blowing. I went and got my Freon recharged and made sure that was full and there are no leaks. What could be the issue with it not blowing as hard as it should be? I know it has much more power because this is my second tacoma and my last one was an 07 and the AC always blew very hard. Could it be the compressor? I have no idea....

The compressor has nothing to do with the amount of air coming out of the vents. Check your voltage at the blower motor. If you have no idea it may be best to let the pros look at it.

This, and cycle the recirc button, does it make any difference? What is the temp out of the vents?

Does it not blow all the time? Or do you notice it blow when you get up to speed?

Cabin filter could be clogged with debris if you've never changed it. Or if you keep a glove box piled with ummm, stuff, like fast food napkins etc., some of that may have been knocked over and lying on top of the filter creating an obstruction.

I can say this. Your trip to the shop and freon levels had nothing to do with the airflow. That would only affect air temp.

Changed the filter and blows like champ. This may be a dumb question but when you say recycle the recirculation button, wtf does that mean?

Basically, I meant turn it off and on to see if the air blows out any differently. Sounds like you fixed the problem though.

I too had the same problem and thought the dealer was changing the cabin filter when they recommended it and I told them yes but one day I decided to look and not only was the filter as gray as my truck but leaves literally fell out of it as I tore it out of the slot.
