I searched 'window' 'windows' 'seal' 'seals' in the third gen forum and can't find a thread.

My window seals always make this noise when I come down this highway, SR62, between Morongo Basin and the 10 Freeway.

The sound is very clear in this video

Damn! That's no good. I would assume the dealer could help you out with that one.

Same happens to me when there's a good crosswind. Driver's side only. I was hoping the in-channel visors would help but it didn't. I don't recall the original post on someone's fix, but I took a note. Some 1/4” ID, 3/8” OD flexible tubing stuffed into the door seal should (hopefully) fix it.

while that does seem excessively bad, that's the single windiest road I've ever been on

Seems to be related to crosswind. I heard a similar noise to this for the very first time last week. I'm at 15000km since March. Speed / angle of crosswind has to be just right

    Happened to me....once

Driving on the interstate at 75mph and hit a very strong cross wind from an incoming storm. Not worth bitching about to the dealer because the circumstances to recreate it are very rare.

There's a TSB for the 2nd Gens, not the 3rd. My dealer won't fix it unless they replicate it...and I'm not giving them my truck for a month. I posted a video in another thread. Showing the video to the dealer did nothing either, although I'm not sure if that's because of my speed.

My sliding glass does it. The kids can make it stop if they wedge something between the window and rear seats. Dealer said he would need to the truck for a full day to address it and I haven't been able to spare the time. Annoying for sure.

Is this not the lca howl?

I had the same noise when driving in heavy crosswinds so i went to the dealer and they did the lca tsb. It didnt fix it 100% but it made a noticeable difference. We went on a mini road trip after the tsb to test it. Problem is, we dont get heavy crosswinds so i cant replicate the sound unless i'm outside of the city. So im not able to test and actually pinpotint the source.

But if this is different, im interested to see what the source and the fix.

I know that when I bought mine in May of 2016, one of the sales managers looked at my door seals and said, "Oh good. Toyota has a new door seal." He had apparently had the same issue with his. I've never noticed any problems at all with the front windows, but have a similar sound that comes from my sliding back glass.

Same. It was really bad when I lived in the desert. I thought it was the roof rack at first, but alas, TW seems to have figured it out.

Rare circumstances? Try driving in Wyoming. I had the dealer put in new seals which cut the noise significantly. It has only come back once or twice since then.
