Get busy and install those duds!! I have not found a store that had the mm series or sr series hooked up , I did listen to the db6501 and the sounded good. I went to listen to some jl zr series and c5 series and at the same time the salesman played the boston acoustics pro60se and they were like nite and day between the jl and boston and the boston sounded way clearer. I have not heard the sr60 BA speakers. My wife doesn`t want the system to be real loud. I`m planing on using the alpine pdx-5 amp.

I can't comment on the sound of either because I've not heard them. What kind of cash are you willing to part with for a good set?

I just installed the Boston Acoustic SR 60 & 65's, with JL Audio 13TW5 all powered with the JL Audion HD900/5 amp.

I've had it now for about 5 days and heres my verdict.

    PROS:

    1. VERY clear and crisp
    2. No distortion and very loud
    3. Bass knob control for sub

    CONS:

    1. If your looking for a system that thumps, shakes your car and other cars, don't go with boston acoustics IMHO...
    2. If you do not appreciate excellent highs and mids, don't buy these

    Final Verdict:

If you are looking for a loud system, with clean, crisp acoustics coming from the highs and mids...boston acoustics are what you should look at.
With the bass knob I have for the 13TW5, I can adjust how hard sub hits. Right now it is set to provide clean bass, just enough to accomodate the highs and mids.

I bit the bullet and got a set of the boston acoustics pro60se for the front doors, unless I rally like them alo when i get them put in , then I may switch out my front focal k2 power 6.5" conponents and put the boston`s in my f250 and the focals in the wife`s tacoma. I`ve had the focals in my f250 since last fall. They are very nice! not sure what rear speaker I will be running yet, either boston`s of focal, depending. i think I`m going with either 1 or 2 polk mm subs or 1 or 2 kicker L7 `s. Not sure yet.

I have 2 pairs of the MM6501 and they are great. Not too much low end bass but great sound quality in my opinion. For the price (mine were on sale at crunchfield) they are awesome. I have a sub so the bass is not an issue for me but if you dont plan on adding a sub you might want to go with something with a little more kick. Maybe stay with a good pair of 6x9s in the front and a single pair of polks in the rear?????
