Sure. I also have a big fancy spring compressor as well. If you got real froggy, you could remove both n bring em over in the Bimmer.

Count threads and even up. Then, supposedly, every full turn is a 1/4" of lift.

 

They should be preadjusted. I just need to compensate for the weight up front.

I read more and more that you damage the shocks if you do it without compressing the spring. Any input on that?

 

There is a possibility of damage. They're more prone to damage if you do it with wheels on the ground vs on jack stands. If there's only a few threads showing at the top, then adjusting while on jack stands has the lowest risk of damage, where as if you have alot of threads showing, the spring pressure can be great enough to push the collar off the threads and do damage. That's where a big fancy wall mounted spring compressor that costs $800 can save your life.

 

It spun fairly easy yesterday when I monkeyed around with it. Have the truck of the ground though.

Worst case I would have access to a wall mounted compressor. But I don't think I need to crank them that far.

Business trip over. I had to fail a site for the filthiest server room I've ever seen. Too hot, too humid, dirty, and the cabling was an unlabeled spaghetti farm. Those assholes KNEW we were coming, too!! F-

Thanks for the pics - I've updated the OP with everyone's submissions. If your truck has a name and you don't tell me, I might give it one. Don't be hatin'- Chad already gave mine the nickname Asphalt Avenger, so I found it only fitting to call his the Cap City Cruiser (aka The Likemobile).

Home life is really rough. Cancer has spread, Dad has a wicked infection, and his calcium levels are continuing to climb. He may not make it through the night. Thanks again to everyone's best wishes and prayers as we continue to try to comfort him and remind him of how much he's meant to all of us.

Hope you are all well, and I'll eventually be able to catch up with everything else going on.





Maybe I'll even get my truck back from Toyota without a leaky rear diff. Still driving a rental.
