    Are those top bolts normally on the truck? If purchased, the bolts would not have to be bought?

    Yes, they are actually the bolts that are holding your bumper to the frame. It's a group of 3 bolts, 2 of which are used to hold the step to the frame.

    I had a bit of a moment and didn't realize the left side of my bumper was only held in with 1 bolt until a kind person in 3rd gen let me know I had goofed.:eek:

    Would the step interfere with a hitch mount, which uses the same bolts?

    It shouldn't, since the step is sold for all tacos both hitched and hitchless.
