So after 2 months of 5100 with ome 888 lift. This morning I decided to take the truck in for an alignment. Tech came back and said its within spec, besides the caster and thats the prefer way to leave it on lifted trucks.

    What's your thought?

Sorry if this question has been asked... 20170717_120758.jpg

How much lift? What are your wheel and tire specs? Control arms?

Caster may have been sacrificed to get camber. Feels squirrely?

About 2.75-3 inch lift since I added the lean spacers on top, Stock OR wheels with 265/75 K02, No control arm, drive straight (normal) to me.

OP, I'm assuming you're on stock UCAs? You should be able to do better than that, but you may need to jump to aftermarket. If it drives fine, you're ok, but in my past experience, I personally would want more caster.

I'm pretty sure that the 5100 with 888x coils need to be set at the zero notch. It's a taller spring and the shock won't handle the preload well.

Zero. Ive tried setting to 1 notch but couldnt stand the ride, so I added lean spacers instead.

    Awesome.
1/4" spacer on the driver side? Any vibes after lifting from the cv shaft needle bearing?

I'm looking at the basically the same setup only with 887 springs instead.

As others have said, that caster is super low. You want to shoot for 2-2.5°. I'm at 1.5° and the steering feels a little squirrelly. If you don't mind how it drives though, I guess it doesn't really matter.

At least within the factory range. That said, you're running close to stock tires. As long as you think the ride is fine, then don't worry too much about it. My experience (in the 4Runner world) is that with such little caster it feels a bit squirrelly on the highway; I haven't lifted my truck (yet....) but I'd be maxing out the caster for sure for drivability and clearance.

If you had 275s or 255/85s you'd be rubbing the body mount. In those cases you'd want to max our your caster and you'd have the inevitable trimming that goes with larger tires.

FWIW 887 and 888 are the same spring rate of 590 lbs, so they'd both ride the same. Only difference is the overall length.

No on both. There wasnt any lean on the left side prior to installing the spacers, So I put both on and they're both are level..

877 seem to be the right choice. Sometime wish I shouldve got the 877 because the 888 can be a little firm for me at times. Took my sway bar off today and its now better..

    No vibs what so ever.

Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to this.

When you said max out caster, u mean maxing it out to spec 2.9 right?

    Short answer: yes.

Chances are you won't be able to get that with ~3" lift on stock UCAs, but every truck is different.
