Fair enough, but remember that not many other places will take the time and care that you will if YOU'RE worried about messing it up. I've been there and am still learning to just take my time and measure 3 times, cut once. I'm terrified of having someone else do it, since they've more than likely never installed one of these, either.

There is not a lot of cutting. It's really only one cut. However, it's a big piece and no, it can't be returned to stock. A new stock front bumper wouldn't be all that expensive though

New bumper is about $200 (as long as you aren't crazy enough to have it shipped), plus prep and paint.

    Part # 5211904220

I had this all priced out before I even decided to pull the trigger on the SSO bumper, because if it was more of a hassle to get back to stock I would not have joined the group buy.

Don't worry about it. It's just a bumper. Lol. I did my cab mount chop recently and know the feeling. I feel more comfortable now. Take your time and go slow.

You would want to pick up at a local dealer, one who will price match.

This site below comes in handy. Click the link, and hover over the #1 ... you will see two options.

I'm lucky enough to have Conicelli Toyota very close to my home, their prices are about as low as anyone else for items that I absolutely would not want shipped.

The cut is nerve racking to start but with a dremel and a rip saw blade(i didnt try a cutting wheel because I've seen how much it melts plastic during other projects not on my truck and I didnt want to melt the bumper but actually cut it) its cuts very smooth and easy to do. My truck was only about 6 months old when I made the cut and it was my first cut into the truck. I was also a few beers in. Just take your time and dont rush the cut and it becomes very difficult to mess up from my experience.

    # on the list doesnt matter. Its all about who placed the order first when they opened up the ordering. Order # from the receipt is the better way to judge placement.

Heres 2 posts from the last group by that show tapering the corners to eliminate a small gap. I would go this route vs the instructions because its easy to cut a little more but impossible to cut less without buying another bumper.

Thats exactly correct! Cut less at first test fit the molding and bumper for how snug the trim fits around the bumper, have someone hold it in place and check all along the cut line!

I think I was in the first three to order, and I did bare metal.

Can't wait to get this baby on.
