If one has a winch on their truck just buy one 20-30' recovery strap, then in winch recovery situations wrap it multiple times around the tree and voila, a tree saver strap

While that works, a tree strap is much better. Recovery straps are designed to stretch, winch extensions and tree straps are designed not to. Plus it's good to have more straps, on Windrock trail 12 we were glad to have multiple straps.

Double check they are recovery straps, and not tow straps. I almost got HF straps too, but I didn't find any recovery type at the local one

Anybody going that's along my Savannah, Atlanta, Chattanooga route?

I did this 14/15 hour round trip solo last time and it sucked.

If I take the interstate through Macon, no. But if I take Hwy 125 and go through Augusta to Atlanta, it brings me pretty close to you.

When are you planing on leaving? I'm not 100%, but keeping my fingers crossed.
