Ball point pen and some tape is all the tool you need.

 

I had a miserable time with a pen. Ducttape sucks bad too.
What worked the best was a long 1/4" socket extention and electrical tape.

 

Hey @Star-Lord . Maybe in a year or two when the guy is done chopping that tree down across the street, he'll have use for that stump grinder.

See that was what caused problems for me.
Too pointy.
The dull end of the socket extention and the slippery chrome were magical.
Pointy pen kept trying to escape the weave.

 

Makes sense to me.
Knit one, pearl two or something like that...

You have no idea if my knitting abilities. I made boat tops in another life. And reupholstered furniture, boat seats, car seats, antique door panels, boat interiors, etc. If it had fabric, I sewed it.

 

Lost numerous brain cells glueing carpet to the interior if boats.
