I'm a big fan of titty-flauge. Check out the base coat on one of my blinds. When you see it...

It's been one year this month when I brought the truck home with 54k miles. She looked like this.

This happened today. Not sure how I put 10k on a non-DD in a year.

Ordered some braided stainless front brake lines from wheelers to celebrate. Picking up the tundy brakes tomorrow.

That's what everyone who I've talked to has said. Can't wait. Was hoping to have them on for this weekend's wheeling, but the lines won't be here in time.

    Update.

Brake lines arrived, picked up some brake fluid. Tundra swap should be happening this week.

Someone called it, but I can't remember who. The tube bumper is worthless for keeping mud out of my radiator. Ha ha. It's ok, I "washed" my truck earlier.

Had fun at Turkey Bay yesterday. Didn't get any pics as usual. Thanks to @The Taco Bear for these.

Grabbed these from Gid in exchange for a bottle of skol vodka and some used adult novelties.

16x8 4.0" BS. Goodbye wheel spacers.

About to attempt to clean the abomination that is my engine bay. :help:

Started in on My brakes. At the rate today went, it's going to be a several evening project. Ha ha.

Forgot to remove the wheel spacer before disconnecting the brake line. Had to improvise.

This little booger was a major PITA to get to. My flare nut wrench was just long enough to make it impossible to make more than about 1/16 of a turn at a time.

    Old and new

Where I left it. The bolt in the bracket that holds the brake line to the spindle is seized like a sonofabitch. Not sure what I'll do. Maybe rig one up out of some scrap. Then I need to trim the dust shield to clear the larger rotor.

Hang in there. It'll be worth it once it's done.

That said, flare fittings are the devil!

Oh yea! This is my type of job. So simple anyone can do it.

Thankfully, none of the flare nuts I have encountered so far on my truck have given me any trouble. I can only imagine the type of anger that would ensue if they were seized up. Not like you can jar down on something as delicate as a brake line. I'll count my many blessings I guess.

My whole bracket twisted off trying to get that bolt out. I just zip tied the remaining bracket and line to the spindle.
