    We're good here, friends have left their homes behind. Whole town is empty except for firefighters. Only one road out and now that route is starting to burn.

    We got mandatory evac'd yesterday at noon. We are safe and with friends. No word yet on our home... current maps show it within a few hundred yards... 50,000+ acres. It's shifted to the north/away from our home but no time frame on being let back in.

    We've had 353,000 hectares burned so far. 45,000 evacuated and still 150 fires burning. Worst year I can remember. Australian fire crew came this morning and they are talking about sending the army in.
