    Hi,

I've noticed that my TRD sport 2008 always make a noise on holes and bump on the rear of the truck and I don't think (but I'm not sure) it is the squeaky leaf because.
I believe that's because there are only 2 or 3 leafs on those trucks?

It's an annoying noise and i think it is only in empty bed, however others trucks don't have those kind of noise.

How do you think I can lower this noise?

    Thanks

I use the volume knob on the stereo. These trucks squeak. Try it after installing daker leaf packs and plate bumpers. I just get more speakers.

Haha yes I used the volume knob a lot, but when I turn it off with the windows down... o_O
    So this is normal?

Lol. Yeah it's normal. Does not make it better. Try pressure washing the springs. Sometimes dirt and small rocks find there way in between the leaf. The culprit is normally the front spring shackle. Take a look at those. You can replace that bushing with an aftermarket urethane one. First I would spray it with some lube to see if it kills the noise for a day or so. If it does you can tackle the bushings.

Perhapa readjust, or tighten your spare tire. I had this faint, but noticeable squeak in the rear that only occurred on small potholes, turned out my spare tired just needed to be lowered to the ground, and shifted and retigtened. All was well after that.
You can try to get someone to jump on the bed of your truck, and crawl under your truck and perhaps replicate the sound.

I have the very same problem.
Mind is nt the leafs, cause i also had a leaf squeek two years ago after comin back from fishing week end in the dirt.
Did cleaned with pressure washer and it went away, though that darn squeek is still here.
I even went to my Dealer, and they charged me 90 bucks for zero.
    Still is there,only when i hit a good hole,it squeeks,,very anoying.
I also had my spare ture checked, and they said it was find..
I also doubt that it is my suspension,so what is it?
    Don t know.
    Regards
    Charly

It could be the inner fender liners. They are held in by a couple plastic fasteners and over time become loose. Give you fender a tap just above the wheel with your hand to see if it rattles.

    What is 'a noise'?

Squeaks, rattles, etc. all can come from different things under different conditions for different reasons.

It could be as simple as a loose spare tire to as complex as a broken leaf spring.

Some physical investigation with some tools in hand might be helpful.

If it only happens with an empty bed, check the mounting bolts for the bed. Is there a gap between the bolt head and the bed? They have been known to erode the composite that touches the frame, leaving a gap between the bottom of the bolt head and the composite bed. The bed can bounce up and down when going over bumps, making noise.

The best way to solve rattles that are hard to find is eliminate parts one by one. I use this tool and love it.
