Thanks, I'll see how much water gets in with the factory rails. If it's more than I'd prefer then I will probably just buy the Vodoo bed rails and tailgate cap.

I have a roll and lock on my 2nd gen. Only lose about 6-12" of bed space. I Love it and the water leak is very minimal. Only thing is it was thrown out of square when I went on some fire trails.

I have a soft tri fold. The Gator tri fold pro and it is working awesome. The top doesn't have any leaks. Saying that I mean the top seals to the bed rails fine. However the front rail does need plugs on both sides. Just make sure your top comes with them or you can buy them from Toyota (pricey though). In the tonneau thread I have a review with pics.

    Like, so many.
I had the OEM cover and liked it. It did leak a little though. I currently have a Rugged Cover. It's good. It has built in LED lights which is a nice feature, but it's more cumbersome to open then the OEM cover. But, so far, it doesn't leak AT ALL. I was say is was around $700 installed.

I have the 1st gen BakFlip X2 Revolver for 2016 Tacoma. I was worried about how the soft touch vinyl over the metal blade would stand up to Florida's tropical rain storms or high heat/solar exposure on dry days, so far it's still in good shape. It does leak on the sides, but for the most part the middle will stay dry. The Toyota rubber bed mat does an excellent job of keeping most items in the same spot you put them. These photos were taken today about 30 minutes after a moderate T-storm ended.. constant hard rain for about 4.5hrs.
