I've heard some people recommend keeping the can in warm water to keep the product warm which in turn results in a smoother finish.

From past experiences with spay paint that's just if you live in areas with colder temps and/Or cans were kept in cold place I think. As long as they are between like 60-75 ish i think your fine.

I don't see the benefit. But please, share your knowledge.

This was before the post above.

Applied a medium coat of glossifier and like the results more than yesterday. Will likely keep this set up for a while instead of spending 800+ dollars on pro wheels

    Hi,
I thought that i would PlastiDip my bumper caps to eliminate the last of the chrome bits from my truck. Instead of going with the usual black i decided to go with gunmetal to be different.
I think that it looks pretty good ... less heavy looking than going all black i think.
As for the PlastiDip product ... this was my first time using it and i can see why so many guys use it in so many creative ways. It really is a cool product.

    Nothing yet...
I don't really like the grey unless you have other areas of you truck that's grey... looks like a replacement part from a wreck. But to each his own.

I think the gray is interesting --wonder how it would look on a blue truck?

8 coats, lugs covered in tape during spray. Temp was about 74 degrees out, no need to warm can. I did wipe off the nozzle after each coat though.

Very nice, transforms the look of the wheels
With regards to your headlight, did you put a black vinyl overlay on the yellow/amber reflector?

    Thanks!
I agree, the wheels look substantially different and improved.
I did put on an overlay. It is the smoke color from

Did my side mirror covers. They popped off easy and snapped back in place.

    Like, so many.
I do. I live in a warm climate, but it seems to spray a finer mist than when I don't put it in warm water. It's not a hassle. I do make sure the nozzle is clear and do a test spray every time.

That's a pretty good Idea I've been brain storming a good cheap way to get rid of the chrome. I even thought about rapping the chrome pieces.
