    Hey all

Looking at buying a gen 3. I work at a subaru dealership and we just took in a 2016 trd sport dcsb. I searched but could not really find much except dirt bikes and mountain bikes. I have a 2005 Yamaha kodiak 450. Will this fit? if so what type of bed reinforcements are suggested

    Thank

    Brian

Don't know about your Kodiak but when I had my 2016 dcsb I put my Kawasaki 360 in the back just to test it, back wheels were right at the edge of the tailgate. My advice is get a trailer, you could haul one if it was a last resort but I wouldn't do it on a regular basis.

+1 for the trailer. I test fitted a Honda TRX420 but it was super wedged in there.

I measured the front wheels on my 2014 Grizzly 450 and the bed a few months ago. Never loaded but it should fit in my long bed. Even I will need the tailgate down partially but the rear wheels will be on the bed. You might need a sheet of plywood?

Go for the trailer. I have a Rubicon and my alumna trailer works out great for the trailer for the quad also for long trips or ice fishin

@blackrifle76 I think my kodiak is bigger than the prairie (if that is what You have).
@Skidog1 the extended cab has a 6 foot bed correct?

Thanks for the help all. First I have to get the truck. Original sticker was $40,000 new. I can get it for $29 with 26000 miles and it's clean. Time to go talk the wife into it.

    Wish me luck
    Brian

Get a trailer. Seen too many mishaps in short bed trucks.

I have previously owned a 1999 tacoma trd offroad extended cab and a 2008 tundra offroad double cab

loved both but family (car seat) or gas (4.50/gallon) made me move on regret it every day since :)

Both my Suzuki and Tacoma have 6 foot beds. The Tacoma has a double cab so it is a lot longer.
