My rig doesn't have one. If I pop out the dummy switch cover that would normally control the bed outlet there is a wire harness taped to the back of it.

Where (if anywhere) do these wires go?

If they are pre-wired somewhere, could they be utilized to wire something up like bed lights etc?

    Just wondering...

It is prewired for the option as I was told the other day from the dealership. My truck has the outlet in the bed with swiatch, but the lower switch holes are blank w/ wires connected to it. I guess for lsd on/off. Buy the stuff and put it in your self.

They probably run to the center console where the power inverter is mounted on equipped trucks.

The dummy switch I'm talking about would be for power to the bed outlet, not for LSD or other hallucinogens :)

This would make sense. I'm guessing they simply dead end there as there would be no power inverter.

Most likely- As they start putting the car together they run wires for all the options while it's still wide open. Then as they fine tune the options packages they either put the rest of the parts for the option or they skip it.
Probably find plenty of wires that go no where....You can buy the parts, but IIRC folks have looked and it's RIDICULOUS expensive.

Oh well. I really don't have much of a use for the outlet in the bed. Instead, I was hoping to use the wires to power bed lights or something. Guess I'll need to run my own wires.
