I'm no millennial but, selling out of a months worth of stock in 5 minutes just seems like a bad business decision on multiple parts. First you're literally just losing potential money for 29 of the 30 days in the month by not being able to make sales... second you have people like me who hate dealing with stupid shit like this and out of spite go to another wheel company, and you think I'm gonna recommend a wheel company that only sells them one day a month??? I can't even get a month for when the wheels I want will be produced!? So I'm just supposed to wait like a 5 year old on Christmas? Stupid

I agree it is not the best approach, but I think there is some sort of line between how much Vin may want to commit to order wise as I think his production rates of the products might be relative to some degree to what sort of stock he is willing to accept. Other thing is bigger orders "could" take more time as it seems SCS is the sole owner of these products and likely are the only driving force of keeping these wheels in production when they see fit such as an order. Im sure in time he will likely figure something else out, but I hope he is approaching some threshold to see that his wheels are sellers and that it would be beneficial to up the standard stock size at a minimum.

Make the owner of the company see he's literally running business out the door and up his production some way, not in China so I'm not aware of his situation. However where there is a will there's a way, I sure see a lot of fidget spinners

I suggest you make your own company and do some R&D

I would happily buy some wheels from you!

Very true. Im sure they have seen and heard these complaints for the past year or two, especially after a stock is advertised and sold as many folks are saddened to have to wait for yet another cycle.

My main issue is not the fact that he sold out so quickly. I am more upset that I put 5 wheels in my cart and started the PayPal process. Upon hitting the submit button I got an error message stating those items were no longer available.

Once they are put in the cart there should be at least a 10 to 15 minute period that allows you to complete the transaction. Now I have two wheels. Hoping I can find 2 more to actually put these on my truck.

I could've bought black, bronze, or gray. Saw all of them load up. Don't want any of those colors. It's taken me 4 years just to find a set of wheels I want on my truck, as soon as I saw the gold rays I knew I wanted them. But now even though I know what I want, have the money. I still can't buy a set..... super aggravating

I think it is safe to say that about 15-20 percent of their customer base do go somewhere else from what I have heard. This obviously isn't ideal, but considering the situation they understand that this is the byproduct of something such as this. I think it would be great if we could get a preorder thing going where they could atleast offer 2-3 colors of each rim outside of the normal ordered batch. I honestly think though that these wheels just flat out take a minute to make and they cant keep them in stock fast enough so they constantly change the order colors up to give the ones that were sold out an order or two to catch up. Strictly speculation though.

Any business plan where you knowingly run off 15-20% of your customer base is insane... I work in restaurants and 1 complaint is too many

But to try to compare that issue from a food perspective is completely different as you have control over your conditions and what not. They are likely limited due to production time/rush costs, vacant storage to stash the shipments, and so on. I agree no one wants to go in with an 80% client base, but you cant argue that they sell 100% of their product, every shipment. In the food business, this might be similar to selling out of food product on a relatively consistent basis.

This isn't new news with SCS though, they had similar issues with every new wheel as it tends to be the next popular one and people get in line for weeks and months to get theirs. I assume in a year or two the ray10s might slow down, but they are the newest and thus has the smallest time for availability. I think it just takes time, trust me man I was frustrated a few months back, but with these wheels its just the nature of the game, for now atleast.

This kinda has a "limited Jordan's " sneaker feel to it. Everyone wants them, no one can get them hahaha.

I'm in no rush to replace my stock wheels and am happy to play the game.

I get a feeling I might be a contestant in this game for some time too. Good thing my funds have their eyes on other truck stuff at the moment to help kill some time. The wallet never wins though.

Hahaha no doubt. I look at it this way. If I am lucky enough to get a set, then it was fate and I was meant to spend the money. If I don't, then that money was destined for something else :p

And I get it's not the same comparison but shit man.... go to the bank with your numbers and get a loan for infrastructure or something. There has to be a way where you don't have to wait a year to buy wheels
