    Same reaction I had!

All good though. So far I've gone on 3 road-trips on my rental paid for by Toyota. Haha

Its only been 1 week with my loaner but despite me told it was only going to take 3 weeks im not buying it after reading everything here. At my dealership I see literally rows of 3rd gens parked in the auxiliary lot. I have already put a licence plate frame on and im about to put a sticker on the back window of my loaner CRV which gets damn good gas milage. im in it for the long haul but will gladly eat crow when if in 2 weeks im scrambling to remove the sticker and the licence plate frame.

I want a tacomaworld sticker for my loaner. Or maybe I will just stick the @ChadsPride likes this sticker on it.

Windward Servco. The lot that is on the same side as Honda Windward. A ton of Tacos. Much more over this past weekend than there was last week when I was there.

I don't know about re-drilling unless they snapped his bolts of tearing apart.

If indeed they are using a thicker gasket, wouldn't that effect the rear carrier spacing being slightly further out because the drive shaft has to slide into the carrier.

According to Toyota's Official Recall technical instructions, no bolts are replaced, only nuts are replaced.

I am now going on 4 weeks. I am #14 of 45 in the lot. Toyota has wiped out all 6 Enterpise outlets in our area. I am one of the lucky ones that got a pick up... even though its a gas monster 17' Titan... hate it.

I am concerned that It will just sit there for months and just rot.

XM is being wasted... truck will never be "right"

I couldnt remember if he said they redrilled for the housing bolts or the the oil drain bolt. It was a bizarre thing to hear but with all this run around everyone is getting from this recall, I wasnt really surprised at what he was telling me. Maybe its their workaround to get these repairs done. We shall see what happens with my repair.

This is day 40 without my truck. I was told I was number 7 in line (with some tacoma's already being repaired) when I stopped by 2 fridays ago to check on things. It's been 2.5 weeks now since I went to talk to them, and they said it would be ready the next week. Still haven't gotten it back. I'd imagine that parts are on backorder or something.

Just called by service advisor since we're on Week 6 now. Still no parts. I offered to call corporate to see if adding pressure there would help them get parts faster. He gave me this number: 1-800-331-4331.

I doubt I'll get my truck back any faster. He reported that they have vehicles awaiting parts for airbag inflators that are going on ONE YEAR in rentals. All Corollas.

I got my 2016 Tacoma back one week ago after being at the dealership for 70 days. So far the recall repair for the leaky diff has worked and no more signs of any leaks. Feels like I got a new truck again after not having it for so long.

Jesus Christ - it's like talking to the government. "Well, what do you want me to do?"

Oh, I don't know. How about not issuing the recall until AFTER you've got the parts? That would be nice.

    Now extend my drivetrain warranty.
