Speaking of shift knobs, I drove a '17 TRD auto the other day, and I noticed the shift knob was loose. It didn't have up and down play, but I oculd twist it from side to side. Salesguy said they all do that. Is that normal, and if so...wtf??

Are you looking for an automatic shift knob? I have prototype from B&M. Probably won't be available for another month or two. The side plates will be able to be switched out or painted.

Twist it as in spinning around? If so, mine did that last weekend and had me perplexed. If you pop the plastic collar down you can tighten it back up and then the plastic snaps back up into the knob. I wouldn't say that is normal and I have no clue how it did that while it was still all attached... gremlins maybe?!

Yeah, spinning around. I didn't try to go all the way around, but just turning my wrist twisted the knob back and forth. It didn't feel right at all.

Same thing happened to my MT knob after my wife drove us home after me having more than a coupla beers. Simple twist and lower
collar, tighten knob one turn and reattach collar. I think she had a little trouble finding reverse but she denies any responsibility. I can't push it too far since she got us home safe. I did wonder how that is possible tho.

I swapped this back for the stock shift knob, but its an easy swap back and forth once u get the rubber grommet so I probably will change it out depending on the moooood
