Thanks! I have been looking for C load range tires as well and apart from Duratracs, Grabber X3, and even more aggressive Dick Cepek Extreme Country's (E rated but only 48 pounds) there are not a lot of choices out there for an aggressive AT or lighter mud tire.

Thank how much money BF Goodrich could make if they made a 275/70/17 C rated KO2 in black wall.

Or a 265/75/16. We really don't have that many options for tires unless we go to a heavy E rated tire. Tacoma owners mod as much as anyone (probably a tie with Wrangler owners) so it's hard to believe why these tire companies won't give us more options.

Nitto is the same way. I don't know what they were thinking when they made the ridge grappler only available in an E for 265/70/17

E rated 10 ply tires provide resilience, and the ability to bounce off sharp rocks when traveling at speed or when they hit the side the tire. Blowouts are nasty. A couple of pounds of unsprung weight is a small price to pay for for this. If you ride the rough stuff regularly, appreciate tough tires.

265/75/16 is also a stock tire size for full size trucks, heavy suv's, etc. I think those vehicles require a heavier tire. Would be nice though.

Might as well ditch the grille and go 100% bumper.

I started my own thread months ago over aggressive C rated tires in 265/75/16 and sadly there are not many choices. I emailed manufacturer after manufacturer asking them to give us more choices and they almost always refer me to a less aggressive tire (shows they don't know or understand their customer base very well). I would prefer a hybrid AT tire but now am even looking at some of the lighter E rated MT options. Oddly the E rated D.C. Extreme Country only weighs 48 pounds so it is now on my list.

Good deal. Thanks for the lead. Can you customize the backlight bulb color too? I'll have to start digging into their site tonight.

Manufacturers just don't want to make more choices in that size. They price tires by demand, and until they see a big demand, they probably won't do it unfortunately.
