I can't imagine that is right. There is no way anyone would need a 779# coil on a 1st gen Tacoma. Too much spring even if you had the world worst bumper that actually weighed in at 250#

LOL... learning to multi-quote... didn't work

So far... dropped a lot $ so just keep it bone clean stock...

Thanks both, both right , my bet...... I should be a little more specific....." .no drop more money into it... Yet ", I will definitely purchase the best quality regardless the price because this type of change won't happen often at all ( my plan is 2019- 2020 ) to do a complete renovation of the suspension worn out parts ....timing belt, WP, plugs, wires, whatever else need it for the 93,000 miles mark or the 20th anniversary of the truck, whatever comes 1st .... (if I can get along without issues , don't want spend anything else sooner )

So I know it will be pricy so minus well do the KINGS as Blackdawg suggest. For the rear I will go Kings , do they sell the leafs? ... I guess they sell the whole package.... all my concern is NOT lifting and smoot ride

Thank you for chime in :burnrubber:

That would make stock weight around 1200# so that could be right. I'm not sure how much these trucks weigh

Springs are rated in weight per distance. I.E. 500lbs per inch or 8.9kg/mm in metric.

This is different than the load rate.

from the photo you posted, they aren't lift coils.

    883s are 590lb rate.

for instance, the highest rate coil you can get is the Eibach coil which is 620lb rate and on a 5100 set to 0'' with a stock truck you get a painful 3.5'' of lift usually.

sounds like solid advice :spy:

When you quote someone, don't write in between the (QUOTE) tags.
What you're asking is: what is the spring rate of your coils. That is how constant rate springs are measured.
The answer is: those ACDelco springs are variable rate, meaning they don't have a single spring rate. The spring rate increases as they compress. Most likely, they are meant as stock replacement springs. I didn't look, but I'm guessing they're the same length as the stock springs as well.

Installing tundra brakes currently. The mounting surface for the caliper bolts is thinner on the 13WL caliper than the stock Tacoma caliper. This makes the stock caliper bolts too long to tighten down.

Do people stack a couple washers under the bolt head or try to find a shorter bolt?

    @Blackdawg @jubei @BYJOSHCOOK @anybodyelse

    Thanks in advance.

I didn't have that issue, nor has anyone else to my knowledge.

    Are those stamped 13wl?

    Stuff. Also things.
I didn't run into that, Carter, and I just double checked that I am running 13WL calipers.

I'm not sure what the deal is

Yes, they are. I thought it was odd I hadn't seen mention of this in all my research reading. Ha ha.

I wonder if the tundra bolts are shorter. Might stack some washer for now and investigate that possibility.
