I fail to see how this is a must have. But definitely useful.

Not sure why when you can find a decent used go pro for about the same price.

Go pros don't have g sensors if you're using it as a dash cam. And I don't like purchasing someone's used go pro. You have no clue where they used it. But thanks.

I see what @Orlandoech is saying. Fuel/gasoline is a must have, this is not a must have. Maybe it's just because where i live but i never really saw the use of a dashcam. What is the benefit of running it to you personally?

Go Pro's are good for what they are designed for. Dashcams are better for what the OP intended.

Don't get defensive when he questioned your title choice lol. Is it cool? yes. Did you do a great write up/thread? yes. Is it a must have? no. Maybe title should be something like "Easy and awesome dash cam option". Thanks for the write up!

    working on it
It's nice, last week just thinking to get a dash cam, due to my phone has 64g storage, 18m pix, and i found very good app called black box, just spent $20 to get a cellphone mount, everything is been set, i like my phone as a dash cam.

But op ideal will be my upgrade in the future. Thanks

I wasn't getting defensive. I'm just saying it's your opinion vs mine. Thanks for the tip, being in the insurance industry dealing with people who don't have a clue about what happened in an accident or people pointing fingers at each other makes a difference to me. Nobody thinks they'll get into an accident u till it happens.

True or pulled over by a cop on a power trip, citing you for no reason with some b.s. tickets and then trying to argue that in court (just ask me how I know lol).

No worries man, I think everyone in the 3rd gen section is on pins and needles for some reason. We need to have a 3rd gen drinking conference sort this out. Lol.
