    A rate plate is a lager Diameter thick shim/washer at the bottem of the stack that's only lets the shims flex to a certain amount. Imagine an overload spring on at leaf bring pack. Depending on how far it is spaced out
    dictates on how far the shims flex.

    On the fox valving chart they call it the top out.

    I threw on some hawk hps pads and brembo blanks I got from the forum for the same price as autozone parts. They work fine. EBC has some popular pads and rotors too.
