I say just take out one of the fogs in the bumper and get some solid dimensions. Many light companies make basic spec sheets that you can coordinate with what you got to see if you will have any issues.

That's funny that demello recommended them for street apps as BD is just too powerful for that. I have the BD sports on for my ditch lights so you can see how bright those are sometime. I have the BD pro circular fog as my rear light and that is stupid bright.

Edit: BD characterizes "driving" lights as more of a general light distribution arrangement for the LEDs. This is good for over all lighting without specialized focal points for the lights, although they typically recommend wide range for their fogs as those can work to hit where your headlights wont.

yea I was looking at the different types of lights, they make a spot, a driving light, etc... but they all seem to be a little overkill for fogs

They work great for what they are. I think my rigids are almost as powerful as them, but what saves them is they have a blurred lens to dumb down the concentration of the light. I assume tacocat's fogs didn't have an issue with inspections though right? Maybe you could get his tailored in a white bulb configuration?

True, but do you really need fogs on road with your new headlights? You could save your BD fogs for aux off road lighting.

I agree with this, having forgot about your new lights. Its worth assessing the combination with the bumper first and see what you want to do. I can understand not liking the clash off yellow to white output though if that's what it turns out to be.

lol and we all know how much I like lights....

yea that thought also crossed my mind!

I dont NEED fogs driving in Ashburn, but I might "need" them a little more once I start commuting on the dark back roads of WV

I understand that, last time I went to snowshoe I took some back country roads where I didn't see a single guy for an hour at a time. In fear of hitting a deer in the rain, I ran my light bar out there. Def let everything know I was coming through!

Wouldn't the mega bright offroad fogs be better then? It's not like there will be any other drivers around (I would assume at least). I used to have my lightbar tied into my high beams, so that way I could run both the high beams and lightbar, and if someone came around a bend, I just turn off my high beams, and the bar would turn off automatically too. Made it very easy to run the bar on the road when no other drivers are around .

yea, I'll probably use my regular headlights when I can, then turn on the fogs, then maybe put a light bar in the grill, and if I want full toss on ditch lights as well.

    haha yea same here.

The ambers are just covers. But they are not good as fog lights. They throw light everywhere and are very bright so I dont even use them. Dont want to blind anyone. You could always use them for something else though.

I'm planning on getting Baja Design lights for my Demello. There's a forum member that sells them cheap. I'll look up his info later if you want it.

Doesn't one of the off-road companies make a rack that fits over the bestop or softtopper?

That's fricken sweet. What's the company? I know you mentioned it's posted in another thread, but I don't want to hunt for it on my phone.

Demello bumper cutouts are for 4" round lights. I think the rigid and piaa dot fogs are bigger than 4".

Kind of a bummer if they are that bright that you have to do run them that way. I have mine always on when my headlights are on as they are a significant addition to the light. My only fear is would someone give you shit when it comes time to inspection if you don't remove them from your bumper? I got mine in DOT for that purpose alone so Im not trying to have an "stock" modification everytime I have to get it inspected.

I'm not sure? but if you could look that forum member up, that'd be awesome!

yea, but with the amber covers, I think I'll pass inspection with little issue.
