Curious as to which OME you had? Did you have the 90000 or the softer 90021?

well I tried to find the old order invoice and could find exactly what it was. I ordered and had them installed October 2013, I got around 40k miles out them before replacing in April 2015 (maybe little earlier). Things were totally blown apart on the inside. Could hear all the oil sloshing around in them and they had no rebound left. I'm gonna go out and say they were the older 90000 since they didn't have two options when I bought them

So these pictures are from April 2014, so one winter and about 6 months worth of driving. This was my first "not to impressed with them moment"
But I know they were an older generation so they might have made improvements since then

You were within ten minutes of my house! Drive by there all the time and most if not all of those are all over 100k miles, many with new frames, some with over 200k miles.

    That's what I have
I still have Miguel's old OME suspension in my truck. Works perfectly! Never a single leak or any other type of problem with them

Yeah idk if that was after a full year or two I would have thought it was ok, but 6 months seemed to me a little excessive in coating failure. I just put Bilsteins on and the hope the nickel coating is going to stand up :fingerscrossed:
The shock body didn't blow out, but all of the valving failed. Shock sounded like a rain stick when you tipped it side to side.

Ahhh well I haven't run these in over 2 years now but I want to say I never had any clunking with them

That's a pretty area. Definitely do some exploring in the Nat. Forest while you're up there. And stop at the Subaru dealership in Conway and let all the air out of Alex's tires.

Normal. I painted mine black for this same reason. Ever see a set of 5100's after a year? And those are supposed to be zinc and clear coated

I feel like I am a tad to abusive to suspension sometimes haha

I did live in Michigan for a few years, and those roads killed the OME and partially killed my second set up after, and 2.5 sets of tires over 65k miles

I painted them after that, those pics are when I sent them to ARB basically saying your guys coating sucks but I like the suspension anyways.

It's rather unfortunate that even with protecting my 6112s/5160s they still look like turd.........

Yeah I've been up a few times in the past. Found some areas I want to explore in the truck while I'm up there.
